Description

This workshop will introduce the bar model approach to problem solving. Participants will learn how to teach students to visualize and draw bar models in order to help them understand the relationship between the values presented in word problems. They will learn how to scaffold word problems, and how to distinguish a part-whole from a comparison model.

Cancellation & Refund Policy:

This workshop requires a minimum enrollment of 7 participants. East West Math reserves the right to cancel the course in the event of insufficient enrollment. In such event prospective participants will be notified of cancellation as soon as possible.

100% of a paid registration fee will be refunded if an educator cannot participate and notifies us at least 14 days before the day of the course. 50% of the paid registration fee will be refunded if an educator cannot participate and notifies us between 7 and 14 days before a day of the course. No refunds will be issued if an educator cannot participate and notifies us less than 7 days prior to a day of the course. In the event of a medical emergency, 100% of the paid registration fee will be refunded, provided a participant forwards proper documentation.

Eligible for up to 3 CEUs. We accept Purchase Orders from schools.
